Delighted to be attending the inaugural UKEB Conference

10 July 2026 / Canary Wharf, London

I am delighted to be attending the inaugural UK Endorsement Board (UKEB) Conference, which will cover a range of important financial reporting topics, including the statement of cash flows, intangible assets, provisions and the future of accounting.

One session I am particularly looking forward to is the workshop on the statement of cash flows. While these are often seen as relatively straightforward, preparing a cash flow statement that complies with IAS 7 – Statement of Cash Flows, often takes time and requires careful attention. Cash flow statements are also often left to the last minute with the result that compliance issues continue to arise in practice.

This article Offsetting cash flows illustrates how seemingly small presentation decisions can have a significant impact on the clarity and usefulness of financial reporting.

I look forward to hearing different perspectives during the conference and sharing some of the insights afterwards, together with what they mean for reporting well in practice.
